To discover a new orange liquor 100% made in Monaco, check out L'orangerie 9 rue de la Turbie!
In a beautiful workshop with wooden floors, stone walls, orange crates and a brand new distillery, you will be able to taste the first local and organic liquor. After realizing that the 600 bitter orange trees from the Principalities that produce about 15 tons of oranges per year were not used, Philip Culazzo, decided to recycle them. Working with an oenologist he created a liquor perfectly balanced between the bitterness and the sweetness of the oranges. The orange peel is macerated, the juice is fermented and distilled,a bit of sugar and no preservatives or food coloring.
And it is delicious ( with 30 degrees of alcohol still!)
Icing on the cake, a very pretty Art Deco bottle.
Perfect for the apperitive as a Monaco Spritz (1 part l'orangerie, 3 parts prosecco, with ice and an orange zest added). L’Orangerie is already available at the Wine Palace and in some of the hotels of Monaco.
Tasting available in the workshop, from Monday to Friday-9am to 6pm.
For weekend testing, please call : +33 6 10 76 50 31.
